That one session at Montreal Comiccon that I have fun working at...

Personal Statement

There is one person in the Montreal Cosplay Community that I will always be impressed by his craft. It’s Gabriel Jodoin aka @Fortitudo_Cosplay. His work is mainly gigantic cosplay and big armor. I met him 3 years ago when he constructed his first cosplay ever, at GEEK IT Con in 2018, since then I continue to follow his progression until today. It has been a while since he didn’t book a private session with a photographer. I am proud to be collaborating with him on this project.

The Cosplay History

Reinhardt Wilhelm is a character based on the game OVERWATCH, a multiplayer team-based first-person shooter developed and published by Blizzard Entertainment. He styles himself as a champion of a bygone age, who lives by the knightly codes of valor, justice, and courage. In the video game, he is considered to be a tank. This is why his costume was this big.

Making of.

For this specific set, I use a secret location in Old Montreal that a few people know that it exists. Since we need an old medieval location, it was the only place that I know will have that. For this set, I mainly work the subject around a 4-light Setup. 2 Lights to create the environment, 1 light as a key, and the other as a hair light. When I do that kind of set-up. I always expose my background first to make sure that is not overblown by my key light.
